چکیده
The use of thermosetting polymer composites and adhesives in structural applications such as electric cars is limited by the poor toughness due to its highly crosslinked structure. addition a small weight fraction silica nano-particles thermoset polymers effective means improving mechanical properties polymer, but not seen with micro-sized particles. This effect has been investigated using experiments numerical analysis. ‘plasticity’ experimental results can be attributed debonding particles criterion found initiation fracture energy debond particle. microstructure examined determine dispersion both quantitively qualitatively, some differences have observed. These simulations, different values strain are for small-scale microstructures. these simulations explain adding nano-sized scale clustering. new analysis increase confidence ability achieve consistently high levels nano-particle composites.

Comparison of Antibacterial Properties of Nano TiO2 and ZnO Particle Filled Polymers
Antibacterial property for the plastic products is very important due to their wide spread usage in many areas close to human health such as a child toy or a food package. There are some methods to make polymers antibacterial such as ionizing radiation but they can be still infected by micro organisms during usage of them. The best and easy way to obtain antibacterial polymers is melt mixing of...
متن کاملSelf-Healing of Interfacial Debonding in Fiber-Reinforced Polymers and Effect of Microstructure on Strength Recovery
This study focuses on the optimizing the microstructure to improve the efficiency for healing interfacial debonding in fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs). Healing is accomplished by incorporating a microcapsulated healing agent and catalytic chemical trigger within a coating layer on the surface of the fiber strands. Self-healing is demonstrated on flat tensile specimens of unidirectional FRPs. T...
متن کاملMorphology Characterization of Particle Filled Polymers by Tomographic Methods
Several polypropylene composites with varying amounts of inorganic particles of different sizes were investigated. In dependence of the particle sizes four different tomographic methods were used to describe the morphology 3-dimensionally. For particle sizes of several micrometers sub-μm X-ray tomography and light optical tomography are suitable whereas for smaller particle sizes scanning elect...
متن کاملINFLUENCE OF NANO SILICA ON PROPERTIES AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF HIGH ALUMINA ULTRA-LOW CEMENT REFRACTORY CASTABLES
Colloidal silica bonded refractory castables have been developed recently. It was found that colloidal silica is one of the best binders can substitute other binders such as cement in No Cement Castable (NCC) and Ultra Low Cement Castable (ULCC) refractories. Also composition of colloidal silica with appropriate additives resulted in a gel form which makes the initial strength. Moreover, the na...
متن کاملHigh resolution X-ray computed tomography of fibre- and particle-filled polymers
X-ray computed tomography (XCT) provides a volumetric map of a specimen in three dimensions, generated from a set of radiographs. Due to the speed and quality of measurement, XCT systems with cone beam geometry and matrix detectors have become widely used. Continuous improvements in the quality and performance of Xray tubes and devices have led to cone beam XCT systems which can now achieve spa...
